This party is running on a platform of economic issues. If elected, the PCs promise Alberta will always remain debt-free and deficit free. The PC party states they will make sure the student loan program is responsive to needs of students and their families. They also aim to follow the principles of sustainable health care, quality of life and respect for the disadvantaged, diversifying the economy, maintaining low income tax and no sales tax and sustainable agriculture and rural communities. They also plan to spend more on infrastructure and recovery of the agriculture industry, as well as on improving competition in the electricity market.
