Authority Zero, A Passage in Time

By Becky van Bussel

Authority Zero is able to showcase their creativity and talent on their new album, A Passage in Time. It is not often that one can describe a punk band using the adjectives “creative” and “talented,” but when they can, let me tell you, it is a beautiful thing.

Authority Zero manages to break away from the

punk-style power chords, offering more artistry than the genre usually grants. Mixing things up a little, they include reggae beats to some of their tracks, as well as add in some–get this–melodic vocals without sounding like the regular pop-punk out there.

The bottom line is, this CD rocks. It has enough energy that even the stiffest people can’t help but move to it.
