Located 50 clicks southwest of the campus, stands the RAO. The rolling hills of Priddis, Alberta hide the jewel of the astrophysics department, founded in 1972.
Three 'scopes dwell there: the 16" f20/f5 optical telescope, the Alexander R. Cross (Infrared) telescope and the Baker-Nunn Camera.
RAO also has showers and sleeping facilities for sleepovers. They're holding an open house Sat., Sept. 6, running from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
