K-Line

By David Gemmell

This is difficult for me to admit, but in my youth I supported the Vancouver Canucks. I cheered the glimpses of brilliance and sucked up the frequent, bitter taste of defeat. This is very similar to the feeling I encountered listening to K-Line’s self-titled album.

It’s really difficult to slam a young group trying to break through, especially when their songs often have brief periods of greatness. The sound quality speaks to the low budget nature of the operation and the speed punk tracks left me cringing at the cliche and poor delivery. Fortunately, the end of the album improves greatly and showcases more of the group’s talent.

If you’re willing to dig, K-Line brings something to the table.
