The University of Calgary women's Dinos hockey team capped off the 2011-12 season with their first ever cis championship by defeating the Montreal Carabins 5-1 in the CIS women's hockey final in Edmonton. It was the first title in the program's history. The team ended the season with an impressive 7-0 playoffs and sweeping their rivals the University of Alberta Pandas in the Canada West final. The CIS championship MVP went to Dinos third-year goaltender Amanda Tapp.

Hayley Wickenheiser won U of C's female athlete of the year.

Fun fact: Generally, a Charizard will be competitive. It loves to battle and spends a great amount of time training or looking for opponents.
