Talent: The Dinos swim team is one of the most decorated teams on campus and, like past years, this year's squad had no shortage of talent. Chad Hankewich set a Canadian Interuniversity Sport record in the 100 metre freestyle and won three gold medals individually and three as part of the Dinos relay team, helping the Dinos take home their first CIS championship in 10 years.

Talent: The Dinos came into this season looking to increase their offensive output and were able to do so. They scored an average of 3.60 goals per game, second to the University of Alberta Golden Bears with 4.71. Much of this success was thanks to the mid-season addition of ex-NHLer Jared Aulin, who amassed 14 goals and 34 points in 17 games.

It's a Super Smash hit!PDF files may take a moment to load

The Super Smash Bros. series has always been the premiere fighting game for anyone who didn't want to spend their weeks trying to learn complicated button combinations and advanced aerial combos. It's an easy game to learn and a harder one to master. There aren't any worries about quarter-circle turns or dragon-punch directional pad movements--you just grab the star wand and smack a bitch around for a little while.

Where Dallas Green rocks in screamo act Alexisonfire, he shows off his softer side with acoustic side-project City and Colour. With Bring Me Your Love, it shows he's willing to take both roles seriously.

The Mars Volta seems to have received a bad rap from all the cool kids, of late. None of them can tell you why but that won't stop the hate.

One of the most horrifically pretentious things to hear is someone going on about the electronica genre. Moby's Play album is considered electronica, as is Aphex Twin's entire back catalogue--calling it a wide and disparate genre has become cliche.

British television: simply the best?PDF files may take a moment to load

As I was growing up, I spent many summers visiting my grandparents in Nova Scotia. Visiting my mom's parents was one of the highlights of the summer, as her father had a ridiculously large video collection. One thing that always struck me as peculiar, though, were his television viewing habits: originally from England, he seemed to enjoy all manners of films, but favoured British television shows over American. He always maintained that British television was just better.

This game is a Lost opportunityPDF files may take a moment to load

It's difficult for a video game adaptation of a successful media property to effectively duplicate the atmosphere of its source material. Sometimes, the reason is simple: it's hard to ape the tone and scope of a feature film or television series with a relatively small budget. Ubisoft has attempted to do so with the video game version of the hit ABC show Lost with Lost: Via Domus.

Alberta: historically not very progressivePDF files may take a moment to load

While Alberta has slowly become more multicultural, with the increasing oil boom bringing in people from all over the world to partake in the profits from the black gold being dredged from the earth, there was a time when it was viewed as a redneck hellhole. When a Holocaust denier like James Keegstra could be voted mayor of his town and then put in place as the head of the Social Credit Party of Alberta, needless to say, the national media was less than pleased.
