The $50,000 price tag Wilco paid to obtain the rights to this album from Reprise was a small price to release such an amazing record in their own vision. Produced with the help of experimental pop star Jim O’Rourke, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is a contemporary indie-rock masterpiece from the second the spacey keyboards and light drum beat ring in on “I am trying to break your heart.” Wilco also give fans a live video of “Heavy Metal Drummer,” as well as a link to view footage from their upcoming documentary on the making of the album. This is great for those who just can’t get enough of this band-including myself.
