Behind the Music is the third full-length release from The Soundtrack of Our Lives. The Swedish band is formed from assorted members of Union Carbide Productions, yet another European gem that never quite made it across the Atlantic. However, Behind the Music shows a glimmer of hope as an album that could make this group of Swedes well-known in North America.
Mellow and poppy, the cd draws from the psychedelic influences of Pink Floyd, the catchiness of The Who, and the breeziness of Love. The result is an extremely likeable, yesterday’s-sounds-today kind of album. With happy/sad ballads like "Tonight," and peace-anthems such as "Keep the Line Moving," Soundtrack of Our Lives have created an album that stretches across all times.
