“I like to scream a lot;” that’s the attitude that this album gives off.
The vocals given by singer Matt Laberge lie somewhere in the vicinity of Creed’s singer screaming for three days at the top of his lungs and then recording an alternative metal CD on Halloween. As implied, that sounds like shit. However, the album does show off great musical talent from the remaining members of the band. Behind the vocals, the instrumental section of the band reaches a professional level of music, sounding something like Silverchair’s early albums. This creates a small conflict between the vocals and rest of the band because of the difference in quality–a conflict I’m not sure I can deal with.
