The Alberta Liberals also have an extensive slate of ideas in place this election. They state that, first and foremost, they will work towards transparency and accountability in government. They have an ambitious plan to allot 35 per cent of all budget surpluses–uncapped–to a post-secondary education endowment fund. Also on their extensive to-do list is health care repair, affordable electricity, improvements to auto insurance, seniors’ quality of life, protecting Alberta’s environment and even giving more powers to the municipalities. Human rights, social justice and fair labour relations in Alberta are also central to the Liberal platform.
