If you had the chance to talk with professors, university staff and top administrators about your educational experiences at the U of C, what would you say to them?
On Mon., Mar. 24, students are invited to make their voices heard by taking part in a discussion about what they like and what they don’t like about their university.
Discussion Deli is hosted by the Students’ Union as part of our communication and outreach strategic pillar and provides an opportunity for students, instructors, administrators and staff to discuss the quality of education at our university. The topics up for discussion come from a variety of places including student complaints registered with the SU this year. We will be discussing many aspects of student life from the quality of teaching on our campus to the cost of textbooks and academic materials as well as the university’s academic plan, “Raising Our Sights.”
As students, we do not always get the opportunity to have our voices heard by the people who are the real decision makers. I encourage you to join the SU in a constructive feedback session with all members of the university community including the provost and several vice-provosts and deans. This is your opportunity to make your opinion count. Last year’s Discussion Deli Report made a huge impact on the way the SU lobbied for you and also provided the university with an important tool for understanding students’ experiences, priorities and needs.
