The All-American Rejects

By Mike Tofin

If Black Sabbath sold their souls for rock and roll, then the All-American Rejects forfeited their genitals in the production of When the World Comes Down.

This album has been polished to the maximum. The band sets a new standard in the illegitimate off spray of pop-punk. It is hard to say who might enjoy this album. It is too bland and hook-devoid for the heart-on-their-sleeves teenage demographic and too polished and pop-punk-easy-listening for anybody with a faint partialness to even the most staunch minimalist of virile tendencies.

The only thing that would make a worse contribution to the entertainment world than buying and supporting this album would be starting your own wrestling league for feral children.
