The University of Calgary Ballroom Dance Club has met on the U of C campus since 1975. Its membership is around 1,600 to 1,700Ñhalf of which are U of C students. The Club meets every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and teaches social ballroom dancing, including the cha-cha, salsa, jive, waltz and two step. "We’re here to promote dance," said Club President Steve Van. "It’s a chance to dance and socialize."
