Child poverty is an issue that affects us all. There is an African proverb that says, "it takes a village to raise a child," and improving the lives of children living in Alberta is up to all of us.

More TLF falloutPDF files may take a moment to load

I have seen a lady driving around in her little scooter, and I have seen her walk, which came as quite a surprise. However, just because a person drives around in a little scooter on campus, it does not give them the right to mow people over in the hallways. I have been one of the many that was mowed over once in the Social Sciences-Administration Building link a year ago. Usually, I would have immediately helped a person pick up the contents of the fallen basket.

Alright kids, the biggest crossword yet is waiting for you to test your skill. For technical... reasons, the grid and the clues are all in seperate image files. What's that?   Ferrets be savedPDF files may take a moment to load

The exploits of the Ferret Rescue and Education Society have been well documented in past issues of the Gauntlet, (Alberta Ferret Society copes as evil volunteers try to wrest control, September 5, 2002), however, it seems as though this benevolent charity group may have gotten a bad wrap.

Santa be evilPDF files may take a moment to load

As you may or may not recall, AP made a seemingly outrageous claim earlier in the year that there was a correlation between Evil and facial hair (Evil people do not shave, September 9, 2002). Many scoffed, some even assumed we were joking.

Well, you'll soon be taking back all the cruel and nasty comments you've been

making as AP finally backs up one of it's

outlandish claims with some statistics.

Memories of IndiaPDF files may take a moment to load

It has been almost a year since I was in India as part of the University of Calgary Term Abroad Program for Fall 2001. When people ask me about my experiences, the first story I inevitably tell is riding the train to northern India. My roommate and I were on a 22-hour train ride to the city-state of Chandigarh, it was December 22, 2001 and the Indian government announced that morning all buses between India and Pakistan would be stopped as of January 1, 2002.

Tiger Army, The Early Years EPPDF files may take a moment to load

To be fair, every band has growing pains. They struggle to find a sound that works, and maybe even more difficult, to find a personality that will sell. On The Early Years EP, it's obvious Tiger Army were struggling. Torn between the sense of humour shown on Jungle Cat ("Out looking for a tigress/in fishnet stockings and a rockin' dress") and the punk cliche of F.T.W. (stands for Fuck The World), Tiger Army hadn't decided whether they were willing to play with conventions or just slave to them.

I've been listening to MXPX for the large part of a decade, but sometimes I feel like driving down to Bremerton and delivering a good ol' fashioned ass-whooping to Mike, Tom, and Yuri.
