Women are valuedPDF files may take a moment to load

Editor, the Gauntlet,

I am wanting to comment on the pink posters of a man in his ginch that were distributed around the campus. Unfortunately, they were taken down before too many people saw what it had to say. The poster advocated equality for women.

I want to commend the person or people who took a stand.

Music, television and advertisements tend to depict women as sex objects. This is wrong. It degrades women and we are merely supposed to stand by and accept it. It needs to stop.

Huy Nguyen and Laura McDougall both placed atop their divisions at Junior Nationals with McDougall also winning University of Calgary Female Rookie of the Year. Graduating from the team is Breanne Graham, who placed third at the world championships this scholastic year.

Coaching
The players I've spoken to over the year have all given rave reviews of Head Coach Mitch Ostberg. Having spoken to him a few times myself, I'd have to agree with the players.

Are pro cyclists all dopes?PDF files may take a moment to load

Pro cycling is addled with dope.

I'm sure some would argue against that statement, and I'm sure there are a couple of riders in the pro peloton who abstain. But with all of the fiascos, deaths and confessions that have popped up lately, I don't see how the majority of pro cyclists can possibly be clean.
