President

This is a position that demands a lot more grunt work than glamour. While the President is the most prestigious and recognizable position in title, it depends on how well he/she promotes themselves and the SU. Presidential duties include sitting on the Board of Governors and being the spokesperson and primary representative of the Students’ Union. This is not something to be taken lightly, as respect is directly related to reputation and representation-especially when dealing with administration and the provincial government. However, above all else the president must have control over and command the respect of the Executive and Student Legislative Council. The ability to lead is an absolute necessity to anyone occupying the office of President.
