As the highest governing body at the University of Calgary, the Board of Governors make many significant decisions every year. First and foremost among these is the percentage of tuition increase, but other significant BoG responsibilities include implementation of policies and programs and decisions concerning the acquisition and disposition of university land. The elected student-at-large must be knowledgeable and articulate if he or she is going to effectively represent students to the board.
