Everyone pay attention, as this may be the only time that sports related content gets into my entertainment section.
Eric Bachman’s score for the film Ball of Wax, a tale about baseball, is one of the most moving instrumental discs to grace my collection. Well-structured minimalism using chilling string tracks and samples of creeking and clicking make for pure ear candy. By far, the best track on the disc is "Ty Cobb," closing out the album with a track filled with more emotion than any vocal track could ever express.
If there ever was one saving grace to the realm of sports, it would be this soundtrack.
