After months of renovations, Stör reopened on September 10. Stör is larger and will now be selling healthier food options.

Currently, there are few products within the store, but as the weeks go on it will be at capacity with new options.

“There is a small amount of product in Stör right now, but we are expanding our fresh food selection,” said University of Calgary Students’ Union vice-president operations and finance Scott Weir.

  Record numbers attend o-weekPDF files may take a moment to load

First-year students flocked to the University of Calgary’s orientation week in record numbers on September 4–7, engaging in many opportunities presented by various clubs and organizations found on campus.

A record number of 3,538 students attended events like Campus Carnival, Night on the Students’ Union and more. Over 5,000 attended the Kickoff and tailgate party at McMahon Stadium, the highest attendance since 2006.

  U of C's transparency testedPDF files may take a moment to load

The transparency of the University of Calgary and its expenses was tested after a mass audit found some discrepancies with chair of the Board of Governors Doug Black’s claims. The university will adopt a new provincial government policy and restructure current policies to alleviate such errors in the future. 

The internal audit, in which the irregularities were discovered, was conducted between January 1 and March 31, 2012.
