Senate Rep

By Kim Stock

Who knows when or why the Senate suddenly became so interesting, but it was enough to get SU star Oliver Ho in the race. Why he wouldn’t run for a more glamorous, better paying position is a mystery, but we shouldn’t fault him for that decision when there’s so much right about him. Experience Though… Continue reading Senate Rep

Senate Rep

Oliver Bladek, probably the best candidate for the position, made brilliant use of semantics. While he didn’t run for Senate last year, he sat on the Senate as an ex officio member. Technically, according to Bladek, we are re-electing him to another term. This ability to manipulate the English language in such a hard-to-refute way… Continue reading Senate Rep

The Senate is essentially a bridge between the campus and the community. It is primarily an advisory and research board, examining various issues both on and off campus. They meet once every month or two and are also responsible for granting honorary degrees. Two students are elected to the Senate every year.

For their troubles, the winner of the BoG race will be awarded what we call a “God Pass.” Essentially, this parking permit allows the proud owner to leave his or her vehicle in virtually any lot on campus. The elected student-at-large… Continue reading Board of Governors

Skitch wants to do it all by lowering Den prices to keep people on campus, reducing tuition and lobbying businesses for bursaries and sponsorships. He also… Continue reading VP Academic

Simply put, Darby Semeniuk was the most engaging, most prepared and most impressive of any candidate in any position. He had an enthusiasm that was infectious and a mind-boggling knowledge of the portfolio. Like the many other qualified and enthusiastic candidates, it is unfortunate when the competition hits a home run. Such is the case for Rosie Nagra. And the legacy of Whites continues. Compared to frog-voiced big bro Toby and verbally handicapped Terry, Rob White is articulate, direct and possessed of two fully functioning eyebrows. Like a little Mordred, White spent the last two years learning, biding his time in the shadows until now. Behold-the safest walking White ever to hold office.ExperienceWhite… Continue reading VP Op-Fi
